Before Your Appointment
GP Referral
As Dr Lawrence is a Medical Specialist, a valid GP referral is required for all consultations. This ensures your GP is kept informed of your care and allows you to claim the maximum Medicare rebate. We prefer that your referral is emailed to the clinic ahead of time, but can be brought with you on the day if needed.
To provide the most accurate assessment, we like to have access to any relevant reports and images. Please bring any previous X-rays, Ultrasounds, CTs, or MRI scan reports with you. We have access to most local imaging centres and will review the images where possible.

On the day
Initial Consultation: These are allocated 45 minutes to ensure a thorough assessment.
What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for a physical examination of the injured area (e.g., shorts for a knee injury).
A Modern Clinical Experience
To ensure your time in the consultation is focused entirely on your care, the practice utilises the following systems:
Heidi Health: An AI clinical scribe is used to document the medical discussion in real-time. This allows Dr Lawrence to focus on you. No audio recording is stored at any stage. We will seek your consent at the time of the consultation. More information about the security of this system can be found here.
Digital Outcome Measures: You may be sent a brief digital questionnaire prior to your appointment. These validated tools help us track your recovery and functional progress objectively.
Point-of-Care Ultrasound: If clinically indicated, an ultrasound assessment may be performed during your consultation to help inform the diagnosis or management. Any injection procedures are also generally performed under US guidance.
